Contact UsYes. We offer a free week trial for all of our programs.
The only age limit at Rio Jitsu is to start classes: 3 years old for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and 6 years old for Judo. Other than that, you’re never too old to start taking classes.
Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly and designed for all fitness levels. You’ll learn step-by-step, at your own pace, with lots of guidance from our coaches. Most of our students had no martial arts experience when they started. They just booked their class, showed up, tried a class, and fell in love with it.
Yes! Safety is our top priority. We group kids by age, keep classes supervised at all times, and teach proper technique, control, and respect. Both Jiu-Jitsu and Judo are martial arts that focus on leverage, balance, and problem-solving (no punches or kicks). Kids learn in a fun, structured, and safe environment.
Just comfortable workout clothes (like a t-shirt and athletic pants/shorts) and a water bottle. We’ll provide everything else for your trial, including a loaner uniform if needed. Most families like to take advantage of our free trial week first, since it’s the best way to see if training is a good fit before buying gear.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
